King HamAd American Mission Hospital (KHAMH) in A'Ali


The King Hamad American Mission Hospital (KHAMH), the newest and largest facility of the American Mission Hospital, opened in A’Ali on January 26, 2023. This state-of-the-art, eco-friendly hospital features 125 inpatient rooms, 20 dialysis bays, 8 ICU beds, 18 NICU beds, 65 outpatient suites, 25 ER beds, advanced operating rooms, and a 270-seat auditorium. Open 24/7, KHAMH offers comprehensive medical and surgical services, including cardiology, nephrology, IVF, mental health, pulmonology, sports medicine, vascular surgery, and more. Additional amenities include solar power integration and parking for 500 vehicles.

Opened in early 2023, KHAMH has 125 inpatient beds, specialty clinics and a full range of services with state of the art technology, a 300 seat chapel and facilities to support medical education of future nurses and physicians


Adjacent to the hospital is the AMH Accommodations Building providing housing for many AMH staff


Specialty clinics include Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Psychiatry, ENT and Ob/Gyn. Support services include Imaging, Physiotherapy, and Laboratory.


Beneath KHAMH is located a 500 space car park

AMH Manama Campus in Manama


The Manama branch of American Mission Hospital, established on the site of Bahrain's first modern hospital in 1903, continues to provide comprehensive medical care. It features a rich history, including facilities for women and children opened in 1927, now housing the Ob-Gyn Department and Zwemer Clinic. Services include family medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, dermatology, ENT, mental health, surgery, and more. The branch remains a hub of excellence, offering advanced specialties like hyperbaric therapy and pathology, alongside its newer King Hamad American Mission Hospital in A’Ali.

AMH Manama Campus in Manama

There are two main buildings on this campus, the hospital proper, Urgent Care, physician offices/examining rooms, Zwemer Clinic, etc.) and a five-story structure across the street (dental clinic, hospital lab, administrative offices, and chapel).


Adjacent to the hospital is the National Evangelical Church and close by is the Al Raja School. A couple of blocks away is the AMH Accommodation Complex. Opened in 2019, the 5 story building with car park, retail and apartments provides housing for many AMH staff.


Specialty clinics include Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Psychiatry, ENT and Ob/Gyn. Support services include Imaging, Physiotherapy, and Laboratory.


The streets in the old section of Manama around the AMH campus are narrow and winding and parking is very limited.


The Manama campus is the only AMH property owned by the Reformed Church in America.

AMH Saar Medical and Dental Center, a satellite of American Mission Hospital, offers quality medical and dental care through general and specialty clinics. Services include internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, psychiatry, physiotherapy, and a comprehensive dental department with specialties such as implantology, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and oral surgery. The center features a mini-lab for tests and phlebotomy, a pharmacy with a wide range of medications, and specialties like audiology, cardiology, ENT, pulmonology, radiology, and more, ensuring comprehensive care for the community.

AMH Saar Medical and Dental Center is a satellite clinic of the American Mission Hospital. This center provides general and specialty clinics and 24 hour urgent care services.


Specialty clinics include: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dermatology, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy.


Apart from general dentistry, the Dental Department specialty clinics include Implantology, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, and Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.


The Saar clinic has a mini laboratory and a pharmacy which stocks a wide collection of medications.


The Saar facility is owned by AMH. Originally built as a SPA and health club, AMH purchased the land and partially completed building in early 2017 for $5 million and converted it into a health and wellness center.

Amwaj Clinic in Amwaj


Amwaj Medical and Wellness Center, a satellite of American Mission Hospital, offers comprehensive medical care with a focus on preventive medicine and overall well-being. Services include family medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, psychiatry, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and emergency care. Additional support includes X-rays, physiotherapy, lab tests, phlebotomy, and an internal pharmacy for immediate medication needs. Specialty services also cover audiology, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, mental health, and speech therapy. Vaccinations for adults and children are available, with referrals to the Manama branch for advanced care when needed. Accessible parking ensures convenience for all patients.

Amwaj Clinic in Amwaj

Located northeast of the airport in Muharraq, the Amwaj Medical and Wellness Center was built on land reclaimed from the ocean.


Specialty clinics include Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Psychiatry, ENT and Ob/Gyn. Support services include Imaging Studies, Physiotherapy, and Laboratory.


The Clinic provides preventive care including adult and pediatric immunizations and emergency care. When necessary, patients are referred to the AMH branch in Manama or to KHAMH for further more specialized care and for admission or delivery.


The Amwaj Clinic includes a pharmacy to ensure that patients will receive medications on a timely basis.


The Amwaj Center is open 0730 to 2300 daily. 


The Amwaj facility is leased by AMH.

AMH Riffa Medical and Dental Center, a satellite of American Mission Hospital, offers quality medical and dental services through general and specialty clinics. Services include family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, osteopathy, and mental health. Additional specialties cover pediatric cardiology, pediatric gastroenterology, neonatology, physical medicine, physiotherapy, sports medicine, and dietary care, ensuring comprehensive healthcare for the community.

The AMH Riffa Clinic provides general and specialty medical and dental clinics.


Many members of the Royal Family reside in Riffa. The Riffa Clinic provides services to the general public as well as to executives and members of the Royal Family.


The Riffa Clinic houses the AMH Executive Physical Program.


The 4,000 M2 (43,000 ft2) building housing the Riffa Clinic was originally built as a private home. When the owner ran out of money, a member of the Royal Family purchased the unfinished building and now leases it to AMH.
